Hello and welcome to my blog!!!
My name is Izzy, I’m 22 years old and live in London.
I’ve been a keen photographer since I purchased my first bridge camera when I was 17 and spent an entire summer taking photographs and creating a portfolio so I could study photography at college. After a year of learning film and cameraless photography and spending many hours in the dark room I decided that studying photography wasn’t for me, instead I wanted try to improve my photography by just getting out there and having a go. So four years on I’ve done volunteer photography, portrait photography, event photography and family photography, but I was missing that fun and creative side of my hobby that I loved at college. Which is why I decided to start this blog, to give me a reason to get out there and photograph everything and then share them with all of you.
Like many, I was first taught to bake by my Nan from a very young age. We spent hours in the kitchen baking cakes, decorating biscuits and making a lot of mess. Since then I have always had an interest in baking, but lacked the motivation to take this hobby further. It wasn’t until a rather chaotic cupcake baking and decorating party I had for my 18th birthday that I rediscovered my love for baking. Like everything else in my life I decided to give it a go, so after a year of trying out different recipes, decorating techniques and making more mess I got my first order for cupcakes. Ever since then I haven’t looked back. Now I love experimenting with flavours and crazy designs. In the summer of 2015 I decided to bring these ideas to my local Country Market. I thoroughly enjoy making a range of homemade produce and selling them weekly in a small Surrey village. Seeing the look of delight on peoples’ faces and recieving such positive feed back has been a great motivation and has encouraged me to expand my hobby into bread, pastry, dessert and confectionary baking. Now I want to start sharing my ideas and experience with all of you.
